Practice makes perfect! Monday morning, I almost stepped on this little guy when I was pushing the trash can out to the street. He began squawking, I jumped and he flopped deeper into the grass! I guess the flying lessons were working because he was gone a few moments later.

This little bird was on my patio when I returned home from church on Mother's Day. I think he'd been having a flying lesson.
